Lately you’ve been asking me, “How can I update my wardrobe without spending a ton of money?”
My approach to fashion is to take the latest trends and mix a little bit new with a little of what you’ve already got. The result can be a sophisticated-meets-funky-relaxed vibe — and a whole lotta fun!
Here are my Top 10 Affordable Fashion Style Updates!
1. Dress like a lady! Fun ladylike suiting adds a bit of lux to your look.

Choose a darling ruffled blouse that will take you all the way through the season and even on to spring

2. High platform heels, boots and booties If you buy one thing this fall, choose shoes.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and like so many of you, personal experience has made this a significant cause for me.
In the 70s my grandmother underwent a mastectomy which saved her life. More recently, my dear friend Leslie was diagnosed with breast cancer and received radiation treatments. Those treatments left her tender and sore, but she kept fighting and I’m so proud of her!

Years of school trained us think of September as the time to start a project. Every fall I like to take a day to regroup and make plans. I call it Back to You time!

If I were to buy one Yummie Tummie that is the most universal and wearable in any situation, which style, what length and color, would you recommend? I am a stay at home mom that would like one that would save my life on a daily basis, whether home with the kids or out to lunch with a friend.
I am long in the torso and live in more fitted cotton shirts and low rise pants. I am fighting the muffin top after having my twins several years back. I still want to feel good in my clothes but as a family on a single income, I need to be practical.

Thanks for your question! The answer for you is the Original Yummie Tummie Tank, in long length. You can try any color you think would work best in your wardrobe - I find you can’t go wrong with either white, black or nude as staple basics.
The straps cover a contemporary bra and look great with sheer tops, under cardigans, jackets or on their own. The long length can be worn tucked in, or over any of your lowrise jeans to save you from that dreaded muffin top.

I’m glad to say there are many “grown-up” ways to wear a layered look. The key is choosing the right sophisticated colors to differentiate yourself from teenagers, and putting them together with what you pair your layering tanks with. Stay away from destructed denim and cut off shorts. Dinner denim (dark rinse) or a pair of wide leg bottoms are a perfectly sophisticated match.
Muted colors like nudes and pale pinks work well together, and are flattering on everyone. Try the Strappy — or the new Strappy by Cup size if you like a little more support in the bust — in ivory, pale pink or nude shades.
Think classic, and steer around super-trendy or harsh colors and patterns. Remember, first you want people to notice how good you look, then what you’re wearing!

Like all Moms, Mother’s Day always makes me think of the amazing and emotional days when my kids were born. They are my pride and joy, and also my inspiration!
After Jax, our first child, was born, my search for a sexy and comfortable shapewear solution left me frustrated and frankly, disappointed in what the market had to offer.
